Default 2008 Dodge Ram fuel consumption problem

I got in my truck this morning and started it, getting ready to go to work like usual when I happened to look up at my fuel economy and nearly died. It said 147 L/100km. I thought that was bad! Not even 10 minutes later it had skyrocketed up to 2348 L/100km. I've checked everywhere for leaks and I've reset the gauge many times. I have absolutely no idea what could be going wrong or why that outrageous number is only going up. D:

Do Not rely on that EVIC gauge. It is not a cumulative measurement and only reflects that moment in time. It will change as you drive down the road. You will see the highest numbers at cold idle.

The problem is that I was idling the entire time. I called my friend and asked him what could make it do that and during the 10 minute phone call it was up to that stupidly high number already. D:

Could it possibly be a problem with the ecu or ecm in my truck? I'm hoping it isn't but it could be a possibility. ._.

If I reset mine at idle it goes down to zero which makes since since your not going anywhere, push the clutch in and let it roll and it'll go way up
