Default 1997 5.2 rough idle hesitates misses

I have a 1997 5.2 4x4. Changed cap rotor plugs and wires. It idles rough and misses/hesitates until 3000rpm all sensors are working and no codes are presant. Anyone have any ideas?
Please help.

Check your throttle body and clean it if necessary. Check your EGR valve clean or replace it if necessary.

Lastly, make sure none of your plug wires are crossed over each other.

You should recheck the gaps on the spark plugs, one of them could be off.
And you also said you changed the cap and rotor, so you could have possibly messed up the timing when you installed the new parts, not saying you did, just naming off possibilities.

Missed fire order? Or a wire out of place.

If you double checked yourself on all the above try pulling codes see if you are having Cam/Crank sensor issues. Had similar issues and it was my crank sensor.

Thanks and good luck,
Robb

I found a site that may help you out, it covers several issues with the 5.2 & 5.9 engines
