Default 08 Ram Suspension Upgrade and leveling??

Hi! I'm new to the forumz. My truck hit 41000 and the front outer tie rods went and also my driver's side shock is blown. Bad news, anyways im replacing the tie rods no big deal. Do the outers need to be pressed on? Im thinking of going with Bilstein's 5100 all around. Im thinking since im doing all that I should just level the front end out. I need a good recomendation on what to use? Also I heard when leveling some people had other issues with the front end. Is this true?

I have a 2.5" Readylift kit on my 06 1500 and when in 4wd it shakes because of the CV angle; which effects 06-08 models. But in 2wd just daily driving I don't have a problem. The Bilstein 5100s are adjustable and can level your truck so you won't need spacers or anything. But if you do choose to have spacers as well; I recommend the Readylift, Hell Bent Steel, or even Top Gun Customz. The spacers come in 2.5" or 2" depending on if you still want a rake if you tow and depending on if you're puting bigger tires on or not along with what size.

So if I used the 5100's and didn't use a leveling kit would that still affect the cv angle?

I am new to this also, so I really don't need a leveling kit to level my 06 Ram? At local shops where I live it cost about $300 for kit with install plus an extra $90 for an alignment. Would it be cheaper for the shocks plus install?

You don't have to buy a leveling kit. You can just get Bilstein 5100s and they will level it out. Price depends on who you go too. I got my leveling kit for $230 (with install $265) and an alignment for $75.

For those with bilsteins up front did you find the highest setting being a little nose high? I noticed on some of the 2.5 spacers the nose seems to be a hair higher than the rear. I tow a 16' boat and even though it's not real heavy i dont want to bad of a reverse rake look. Has anyone had the 4wd shake issue with the Bilsteins? Thanks and sorry for the thread hi-jack
