Default self-reving engine at idle / TCC solenoid turning on & off while using cruise control

Hey guys, looking for some help with my 2001 Ram 2500 360. I have owned the truck a few months, and it has always done this, but it is getting noticeably worse over time.

When you start the truck from a cold start, the engine fires right up, but then continues to rev, from 600-1500rpms all by itself. If the engine is hot, it won't do it as much. Disconnecting the IAC (idle air controller) does nothing.

The other issue, which may be somehowconnected, is that the TCC solenoid engages and disengages while driving, quite a bit. It is more pronounced going over hills and such and seems to do it much more while using cruise control. If I want to have a steady non-shifting ride, I can't use cruise. It doesn't seem like a transmission issue, more like something that is commanding the trans to do that.

I was thinking it may be the TPS for both issues, but the TPS appears to read perfectly, % and voltage is right on. I have a MACTOOLS scanner that I can read any data that is requested. Here is a video to help with the diagnosis:

I just swapped the TPS from my Dads 2000 Dakota. The difference is amazing. When I fired it up, there was no reving idle, even for minutes. The real change was when I took it for a drive. There is no surging at all, even while going up hills with the cruise on. It didn't surge once on my 15 mile trip. I'm going to buy a new TPS from Advance for $32. Problem solved.
