ngk 4306 coppers will last a long while...I rarely spray and dont go to track much (every 2-3 months)...I don't see any performance difference running them all the time..also run a colder tstat as well (most do 180, I'm at 170)

Thanks guys. I look into plugs too then. Is the part number the same for the 4G Hemis as it is for you 05?

I think you would be OK with a 75 shot.
I've had a couple of friends blow up their new gen hemi's on spray but they were both ruining diablo predator custom tuning and running a 100-125 shot
Stock tune would have less wot timing to start with so to a degree it would be safer.

I'd still go with a 170-180 thermostat, the NGK plugs run premium gas, and not try to spray right out of the hole let it build up at least 3500 rpm as an extra margin of safety

What is a good throttle body plate setup? With the new Vararam on, I don't a good place to drill a nozzle. I guess 6-18 inches away from the blade is best, all I have room for now is on the silicone coupler

I don't know about your question Timmy....

But to the OP: I'm not an expert with nitrous but I believe if you run higher octane with the nitrous it should be ok. Higher octane will give you a little more protection and is sort of the same thing as retarding the timing (in a round about way) as it will burn slower. For example you could run 91 or 93 octane when you spray and this should give you more protection.

I'm not sure with the vararam. the HSW plate is about an inch thick so it would move the TB forward by that much. Think most are about the same thickness. If that's an issue you might be able to trim the elbow shorter??
Think Fred or somebody is running a vararam and said they installed a wet fogger in the elbow rather than a plate system.

It would be really easy to adjust the height of the Vararam....It would be up, not forward

Oh it never clicked you were talking 4th gen. think the plate would just raise the height of the TB so you would just shorten the tube. and I suspect the plate would work better on that truck manifold or a car manifold since they have more internal space (aka distance to valves)

but.
after seening a couple a couple of local guys crater the newer motors in person with 100-125 shots I'm not keen on the idea of spraying the newer hemi. Of course both those guys were in cars and on diablow custom tunes so it might be safer on stock tune.. or not, if it has somethign more to do with the varraiable cam timing. Either way you if go nitrous take it slow and start of with smaller shots
