Default Running 37's with stock gearing?

I have a 97 Ram 1500 4x4 with 7.5 inches of lift. My 35's look tiny so I want to get 37's. I have stock 1500 gearing and I know people say you need at least 4:10's for 37's but I dont want to re gear. I know my gas mileage would go down a lot but other than that would there me any mechanical problems if I ran them with my stock gearing? Thanks!

No mechanical problems, really, but the truck will really slow down trying to move that much unsprung weight. That's why folks re-gear, to get that extra torque.

the other issue may be that the 37's will be just too heavy for your stock bearings and you'll end up having to replace them.
