That's what I saw on the Ram Owner's website. I haven't checked with my dealer yet, but I figure if the website quotes a price like that, it will be the same at the dealer.

I don't know why the dealers don't just order the $150 protection package on all 4x4s. It includes the tow hooks and two skid plates. It would save a lot of messing around. When I asked my dealer to price this $150 factory option as a dealer install, he said it shouldn't be much more than that. Yea right, almost $500!

I just did this on my 2011 Ram 1500 Laramie and believe me it is easy I didn't even use a ramp. I used the heated knife trick described earlier and it worked great, took me maybe an hour total but I am slow. The bolt heads are 18mm and you need a deep socket, piece of cake.
