I've got a Borla PRO XS and I don't have any drone at all.

Swap would probably cost about $100. The mufflers right now are around $100 + shipping. Borla's have a lifetime warranty and this one has about 2000k on it. Let me know.

I loved the sounds the muffler made but the MDS killed me. Much happier without that sound and no I'm not cutting off the MDS with my Trinity. I like better gas mileage then I do a muffler lol

The MDS kicking in doesn't really bother me. It is a much lower purr when the MDS kicks in. The drone is not really bad, like I said, but it's noticeable and unfortunately, I'm one of those that once I hone in on a noise, it drives me crazy (i.e. I'll tear a car apart to find a rattle.)

If your muffler is a single in single out and you have enough room you can add it after the borla. Essentially what this does is allow the aero muffler to act as an additional resonator.
It's a one in two out. I've never heard of the aero, but I'll look into it.

I'm resurrecting after doing more research. A number of mustang and speed guys have installed a side pipe resonator (aka Helmholtz(sp)) on their cars and trucks. There is a ton of information and the calculations on the length necessary is fairly technical depending on the rpm of the drone, dual vs single, gas temps etc. It's basically just a capped pipe that is fit directly off your exhaust pipe at a 90 degree angle. The problem I'm having is figuring out the right length on a single in, dual out system and whether the lengths of the two would have to be different. Any exhaust experts here toyed with this?
