If you're talking about a 6.7 cummins and he has a programmer on it you can kiss your cash good-bye. If its an eco-boost you'll have great luck from a start if he doesn't do a boosted launch, but if you do things on a roll he'll likely pull away. Thing about turbos is that their response is delayed until they are spooled up, unlike a supercharger which is instant; however, they do not "top out" like a supercharger and they are harnessing "free" energy from the exhaust.

First, im quite aware of what turbo diesels can do. But when you start with a 17 second truck its gonna take a BIG chip. On my old RCSB 5.3 I was hitting just over 300rwhp with a cam and longtubes and 3.42gears. I ran my neighbors Cummins crew cab dulley that had a exhaust. intake and crazy larry program. From a insterstate roll about 65 I steadily pulled away from him. But my truck was just over 4000lbs. Yes you can turn them way up and put 200 injectors and turbos and make 600rwhp and yes they are fast. Now the ecoboost, which is what he has. My truck is doing 0-60 in 5 seconds according my my Iphone GPS. Stock RT ive seen vids run as fast as 13.6-13.7's most run 14flat cause of traction. Im pretty sure with my current mods im prollly a mid 13second truck with traction. No where near what hes at. Another thing that people have to realize with going larger rims and tires is rotating mass. Mudd tires are heavy and so are his rims. Ive witnessed trucks drop .4 off their quarter mile by just swapping out lighter rims and tires because of rotating mass weight.

Plus the 4.10 gears and the SRT8 converter thats in my truck makes launches quite fun. My stall converter flashes around 2900rpm.

I've also witnessed (from the cab) a 2008 f250 6.4 powerstroke with an 8" lift on 38x1350r24's with just a dpf delete and spartan 275 tune run a 12.8 quarter. Sounds like you have a great deal tied up in your truck, and like you definitely know what you're doing. I didn't mean any offense, and a twin turbo'd awd hemi ram would spank almost anything out there (take the hennessey trucks for example). It just blows me away how a truck can be so heavy and appear to be so inefficient yet perform the way some of them do!

My 07 5.9L mega cab dually 4x4 with 35's got 21mpg at 72mph with the diablo tune at +160 hp and straight turbo back exhaust. That was pen to paper on a road trip. Buttttt. City driving was more like 10 to 12

And also ive run two eco-boosters and they are quite even with me. Enough to say "par for par". But when you can tune the shift parameters and A/F ratios with a predator im sure it'll be much diff with 93 octane. Now whose to say they wont have a boost fooler for the engines in the future.. Just wonder how much strain that little v6 can handle
