Had to bust out my sons humidifier, I guess the oxygen tube at the hospital dried my sinuses out so bad they are raw, waking up with a dry throat and cant swallow is the worst of it. Hopefully this will help as it is a really good top of the line humidifier. Went to walmart tonight with my wife just to freak everyone out in the store,,,lmao especially the little kids, but these redneck gals out here seem to love the rustic tough look of being stabbed in the neck during a bar fight or something as they just smile and wink as they walk by...lol
Wonder if they wanna see my other battle wounds....lol
I hope everyone is enjoying the days of counting down till christmas and new years, I am enjoying just kicking back and sleeping as much as I can. Peace, Merry Christmas and Happy New Years to all of you at the "Z" !!!!!

Been recovering pretty good, New years eve fell on the stairs ( more of a slip since I caught myself ) but that fraken hurt a bit there.... been a little sore the past couple days since ( gonna kill the kids leaving stuff on the stairs... I really am ! lol ) since I didnt hear anything crack i figured Im ok, just my shoulders got sore the next couple days ( I go back for a follow up on the 26th ) so hopefully the screws and plate is where its supposed to be still. Now I need to find someone to install a new steering gearbox on my ram for me...its pretty oen to get to but I dont have the strength to tackle it......

Glad your doing ok, sucks about the fall but hopefully all is ok and it's just a little pain and no other problems. I just read your previous post, the air has been so dry! I've woken up the past 3 days with a bloody nose, I need to get a humidifier lol.

You know I tend to be a lil slow when it comes to things like this....

glad the surgery went well, and that you're on the road to recovery.

Its ok Excoastie.... we are all getting slow. Man, my wife and I went to the store the other night ( she had double foot surgery to remove an extra floating bone in her feet which causes her pain walking alot ) so she got to ride those power chairs, since neither of us can drive her 15 year old permit driver daughter took us ( my god what a scare )
Well, you know kids, they dont want to watch the baby, my son loved helping to drive the power chair with my wife ( he kept hitting the kill switch...lol and once my wife wasnt paying attention then he hit it in reverse and almost mowed down a lady behind them...lmao ) but once he got tired of that he got down and took off, I damn near passed out chasing him.... just couldnt catch up to him as im still a bit weak, got all dizzy and shit.....wooooo what a trip that was. Got back home and the step daughter driving like a mindless retard doesnt slow down and almost passes the house and swerves into the driveway as my wife and I are yelling at her to stop and she keeps going..... Im pissed now thinking about it but I bet you $1000 you couldnt get a piece of paper between the Van and my Ram !!!!! Seriously she damn near creamed it in the driveway.
And she finally stops, looks at us and says: WHAT? OMG, she's not serious is she? Geeze. Yeah, she's a blonde too!

Well had my first follow up 1/26/12 the screws and plates are holding, nothing came loose, the bone graft hasnt fused yet so I have another followup in June.... so far I have been pretty much pain free, just a little ache here and there with the weather changes.. Got another MRI coming up as I am having him to look at my back with all the pain issues I am having with my mid to low back as well. So, more surgery in the future? We will soon know.
