And here I am wondering if they will put the 3.0 CRD diesel Jeep motor (Here in the US in 2013) in a RAM 1500,,, 400 ft/lbs of TQ,,, 'bout the same as my 4th gen HEMI,,,

It's a 6,,, so is a Cummins,,, just sayin,,,, =)

Totally agree ^. Whether "old school" or not....who cares. Is a turbo six that runs a 9 second quarter mile less impressive than a v8? HECK NO! I spend some time in the inline six community and there is a chevy inline 292 turbo pickup that I know of that runs 9's....might even be 8's, can't remember, that is bad ars! One of the coolest factory vehicles I've ever seen is the sy/ty trucks with the chevy 4.3 turbo with awd...very fast and especially for it's time. If you see one in person you will think it's VERY cool...just don't look at the interior

Check out www.mighty6.com if your interested in the potential of a "small" displacement six cylinder engine...

Just because it's a diesel doesn't change my opinion, still wouldn't own it. Like I posted before, I don't care how much power it makes or how fast it is to me it just aint right!

I'm just an old fart wanting to get to work / putt around for less fuel $$$,,,

The CRD 3.0 is the first 'small' diesel I know of to be produced by Dodge/Chrysler/Fiat for the US market,,,

If I could get 400 ft lbs of TQ and ~27-28~ mpg highway with a RCSB 1/2 ton,,,, That's what would 'impress' me in a truck,, Don't care if it only has 6 cylinders, I ain't much for a lot of exhaust noise these days,,,,,.

Will a CRD 3.0 V-6 w/8 speed 'impress' me??,,, dunno. Would like to see 'em at least try,,,, (Looks like we'll see an 8 speed Pentastar in a RAM before we'll see a CRD.)

Eh??? What???? Go fast?

Well,,,, my 'go-fast' machine only has a 1.9 litre 2-banger,,,, it's not really that noisy,,, not even that fast,,,

Heck, it ain't even got 4 wheels!!!! =)
