Do these updates only address issues with the Iphone? I have the RBZ and my Droid works fine, so I'm tempted to stick with 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it'.

There is a lot of talk of people having problems with their IPods, IPhones, Android phones with the 430 and 430N radios. The specific issue is usually the fact that they won't connect to the radio when plugged into the USB port in the glove box. In addition, the bluetooth streaming can sound like chipmunks have invaded your device (goes fast, then stops... then goes fast, then stops, repeat)

This was a major issue with all 2011 Chrysler radios. The blame seems to be on Apple for this but I also fault Chrysler for not getting updates out sooner.

There are fixes for this and they are software updates to the UConnect module as well as the radio. They are 2 seperate updates and they must both be done to have a stable system (I say this since my radio kept crashing when I only had the radio update without the UConnect update for a couple weeks but was stable since the UConnect update).

Below is the information you need to solve this problem. Please follow the link for the UConnect Update and read the instructions for the Radio update.

Uconnect Update
http://www.ramforumz.com/showpost.ph...6&postcount=38

430N Radio Update
An Update Disk should have been sent to you but if you don't have it then request it from the dealer. You will know if you have the update simply by looking to see if Sirius Traffic is working or not. If it is not, and you have the 430N, then you need the update. If you have the 430 (non-nav) then you will have to ask the dealer to install it like I did.

I hope this helps and I hope this ends the frustration that many new users are having with this issue.
That's what I'm going on. The Bluetooth and streaming worked fine on my iPhone, just not the USB. Maybe some else can give you a better answer.

The usb issue is for the ipods and iphones. The bluetooth streaming issues affected android, iphone and blackberries. I have a ipod touch and an android phone that wouldn't work with the truck until I did the updates.

Bluetooth streaming music and bluetooth phone calls were affected separately. I could always make bluetooth phone calls but streaming music never worked (until I did both updates).

Hope that helps

OK, a coiuple of things here on these updates:
1) the 2 updates do not have to be done together. One update is only for the Uconnect system, this update fixes the issue of: "error occurred" when plugging in an IPhone or iPOd to the docking cable. The other thing is being able to stream audio fro the phone without the audio being fast or choppy.
2) The Sirrius disc brings the radio SW version up to 23.04.41 and add the travel link to it.
One can be done without the other and have no issues. Is it best to have both "yes" but they can be done independantly.
If you can't find a dealer to help with the Uconnect update, then PM me with an email address and I will send it to you with the instructions. This is the file that I had mrjeep host for me last year. (Please include the year, model of vehicle and the radio that you have. I have been helping a lot of people and it's hard to keep everything memorizes)
3) This update helps several issues with phones other than the IPhones but not all issues.

My radio is running on 20.02.01 and have had no luck tracking down the Unconnect or software updates I've seen on here. Any ideas?

XSDBS,
I am brand spankin new on here so I can not PM yet. Can you please PM me the Uconnect update. I have a 2011 Ram 1500 Sport with the RHB radio. I did update Sirus Travel link via a disk they sent me. I called dodge today and they said they know nothing about a uconnect update. I think Jeep, Dodge, Chrysler have a lot of getting together to do not only with themselves but with Sirus and Uconnect. I can tell that they are far from on the right page with each other.
Thank You in Advance
RJ

Default 730 rhr?

Do any of these work for the RHR 730? I have my 2012 (just picked up on the weekend) and my iphone 4 will not connect via the USB port. Bluetooth works fine streaming music, phone calls ect but it will not connect via USB. It shows it is there in the aux menu, but wont do anything. Iphone just shows "accessory connected" screen

The Uconnect update that we are talking about here is only for the Mitsubishi radios (REQ, RES, RHB & RBZ) the RHR is made by Harman. Last year they had an Apple update also but as of right now I haven't heard of one. I do have a Harman contact at Chrysler and would be happy to look into this for you. Is this a straight IPhone 4 or is it a 4s? Do you have the 5.0 or 5.01 SW on the phone?

I would be glad to help you out, I need an email to send the file to and I'm sure that you don't want to post your personal email on the forum (I'm not saying anything would happen from the fine member that we have here but...) If you want to set up an email just for this and then shut it down after we get you taken care of that would be ok.

Well let's try this instead. ( I am new with this stuff and hope this works.) I just loaded it on Mediafire.
******NOTE to anyone that also decides to use this file. This particular file is for vehicles with High Speed CAN BUS, which is most of the vehicles, including the Ram.
http://www.mediafire.com/file/qzfm7w...m/uconnect.upd

fingers are crossed.

Here's the Uconnect update and instructions:
Download it to a thumb drive that has no other files on it. If you have files on it, please delete them and format the drive (to FAT32) just to make sure that it is completely clean.
Turn the radio on, Place the thumb drive in the center console USB connector (on vehicles with the dealer installed unit, it should be in the glove box), press and hold the Uconnect button for about 12 - 15 seconds, you should here "update started". This process should take about 15 - 20 minutes, there will be some beeps during the process. Please listen during the update for any error message that may be said by Uconnect. When the update is completed, the radio screen will go back to a radio display. Now plug in your iPhone or iPod and let it be read by Uconnect, does it start playing after being read? Let me know how this works out for you.
