Default New Modz...

Well guys, I promised you some pix of the mods as soon as they were on, gotta make this short, R&R leave is not alot of time.

^Ramforumz Decal (not really a mod but, important nonetheless )

^Lund Revelation Tonneau Cover- 20 Minute install my ass. It took my wife and I 5 hours to install this. The directions were very un-clear and it was missing parts. Managed to make it work, but next time I will be taking my $200 elsewhere. This will work for now, until I can afford the upgrade to the Extang.

^Sickspeed Stubby

^Westin Bug Shield.

I also installed a Sonnax Line Pressure Booster, messed around with the DSP, Put new brakes pads on the rear end, did an oil change and changed the upper bank spark plugs.

The plugs were the last thing I did, and that ended in a trip to the dealer to get 2 new coil packs. Please, for the love of God, when you change your plugs, put some dielectric grease on the coil connections. If you dont, the coils dont come off the plugs easily, and they definately rip the rubber, leaving half of the coil in the head and the plug 100% inaccessible.

Anyway, the Tonneau Cover we started last night, took us 4 hrs last night and another hr this morning to wrap it up. The plugs took about an hour, minus the time it took us to drive to the dealer. Thankfully I was able to put the broken coil's back together and it drove ok. Also, thankful they were only $42 a piece to replace. Tomorrow the Curt Hitch goes on, anyone installed one before? It looks like it might be a pain.

Love the decal! Funny how the time instructions never equals real time install!!! Sorry it wasn't so good

To the mod who moved this, my bad, opened a new thread in the wrong tab.

Stacy, yeah, the install time wasnt what bothered me so much as the instructions were just...well...bad. None of the parts were labeled, and 3 out of 4 rails to assemble the frame were different lengths. So it was literally trial and error to get it right. I also tore the cover in 2 places (very small, but still pissed me off) trying to put it on the frame. That first time stretch, especially in 25 degrees, is difficult, at best.

You spent hard earned money on that, it shouldn't have been a nightmare to install and it would have pissed me off royally to have it tear! Too bad you can't send it back and get a refund but I am sure that would be a bigger hassle than it was to put it together!

Well, I bought it from amazon, and could easily send it back, but its on now and I REALLY dont ever want to install another one like this again. You cant see the tears, but it makes me wonder how long its going to last, I have only opened it twice and its torn in 2 different places.

Sorry to hear of your troubles with the Lund Tonneau Cover.

I installed the Tonno Pro tonneau cover last year and when the say 15-20 minutes to install I think they were including time to add the foam seal. It only took around 10 minutes to install by myself.

Hope yours holds up but if you were to do it again I would recommend the Tonno Pro.

Sorry to hear about your tonneau installation problems. I know how frustrating that is.

I just installed my $200 tonneau (Tonno Pro Lo-Roll) yesterday and it took about half an hour. The instructions were'nt the greatest but Tonno Pro had an installation video online that showed how simple it really was.

The quality and functionality seem decent and it is warranted for ten years. I'll be happy if I get half that out of such an inexpensive product.
