Default 03-Ram 1500 Lighting problems

Had a snoWay plow installed a few years ago and headlight/signal light wiring was spliced into.

Now a few years later woke up one morning and now I have a low beam headlight out on one side and a driving light out on the other, signal light out on the driver side frnt & back, passenger signal light out on the frnt. Break lights seem to work fine, cargo light works fine, interior lights work fine, all power windows work but only from the drivers control. Individual power window controls for all the other doors don't work. Power locks work fine. When High beam lights are turned on driving lights go out as they should but opposite High beam light works from the low beam that is working. 1 High beam works opposite the only working low beam light.

Something really odd here? Could it be a short from where the plow was installed? Or, has anyone else ever encountered this?

Thanks guys.

If I can get this fixed then it's on to a full plug change.

Let me guess, you let a newfie do the wiring, didn't you? Ok, 'nuf with the Newfie jokes.

First things to check are the bulbs, swap the working bulbs with the non-working ones just to check. If it's the bulb, swap it out. If it's the harness, have a look at where they tapped into the light wiring, and follow that wire, check for any brakes or worn spots. If you've grounded out the wiring harness, you could have messed up the TPCM, and that's not a cheap fix. I grounded out my passengerside low beam and had issues; highs, running/signal lights all worked, but nothing at all on the lows. With the other electrical, I'd be looking at the TPCM, since you've lost a lot of other systems.

This just screams FCM (Front Control Module) except for the power window part. That sounds like the bypass switch on the drivers control has been pressed in, disabling the other window controls.

Although instrument cluster failure is somewhat common on these, yours seems to have issues that pint more to a wiring issue, and most specifically, a corroded connection issue. A point of common connector corrosion issues is the bottom of the IPM (AKA Fuse Box). I would start there and if nothing else, it's great preventative maintenance.

As for the power windows, you likely have a defective drivers door switch bank. It's kinda the master control for the others. Also the wiring harness between the drivers door and the A pillar can cause the same symptoms, so I'd check that first. These wires are know to break on all vehicles after a few years.
