does it happen on striaght drives, or just corners? I had a loose sway bar (worn bushings) that used to click on any sort or bump or corner.

I would think a nail or rock in the tire. It will click every time the nail/rock hits the pavement. If the nail is still in there leave it in and get it repaired, because you will not loose air until the nail is removed.

u-joint my ram friend,,,,,,,,? actually i have no idea

but that was my first thought , for that was the first problem wen mine went out a clicking noise started,,,, get under there look for rust around the u-joint ends thats a good sign the permanently sealed u-joints grease has failed
or if there is a grease fitting (zert) pump some grease in it and see if the clicking stops

m

ps: also look at the wheel bearing too if they hav never been greased they can click as well , its metal to metal no grease you'll get a clicking

If you removed everything and the hub was still clicking, def sounds like a shot bearing. A quick fix and $75 at the local parts depot and you're back on the road.

If it doesn't go away from this then it may be the front diff/transfer case and I don't touch those myself.
