The update that I listed in post #40 will work for your vehicle. Download it and apply it.

Yes this is the most current SW update. There's also another thread on this forum where they've applied it.

If you want to set up an email just for this and then shut it down after we get you taken care of that would be ok.

Well let's try this instead. ( I am new with this stuff and hope this works.) I just loaded it on Mediafire.
******NOTE to anyone that also decides to use this file. This particular file is for vehicles with High Speed CAN BUS, which is most of the vehicles, including the Ram.
http://www.mediafire.com/file/qzfm7w...m/uconnect.upd

fingers are crossed.

Here's the Uconnect update and instructions:
Download it to a thumb drive that has no other files on it. If you have files on it, please delete them and format the drive (to FAT32) just to make sure that it is completely clean.
Turn the radio on, Place the thumb drive in the center console USB connector (on vehicles with the dealer installed unit, it should be in the glove box), press and hold the Uconnect button for about 12 - 15 seconds, you should here "update started". This process should take about 15 - 20 minutes, there will be some beeps during the process. Please listen during the update for any error message that may be said by Uconnect. When the update is completed, the radio screen will go back to a radio display. Now plug in your iPhone or iPod and let it be read by Uconnect, does it start playing after being read? Let me know how this works out for you.

I installed this update today, and have lost all power to the usb port in my glove box. The uconnect buttons don't seem to work any longer, as well, the bluetooth will not connect to my phone. Any suggestions?

Does anyone know if the uconnect update can be done from a cd instead of the usb? Since attempting this update earlier today, my usb in the glove box no longer has power so I am unable to attempt an install from the usb. I was wondering if I could burn this file to a cd, and update from the head unit itself?

It sounds like you did what i did
I interrupted the download, i had to take the key out of the ignition to go inside to answer my phone, a client needed me to do a job immediately.

I thought that i had fried my radio
you won't believe this, but first i tried turning the key on & off a few times, started pushing buttons as well. I finally remembered that the radio is some how connected to the Climate Control Fan, so i added that into the mix, it finally rebooted. The download restarted, i left the ignition on & locked the truck with the spare key, while i got ready to go do the job. When i came out, the radio screen read download complete

The radio still works, and I was able to do the satellite update after this. The only issue I am having is the glove box usb doesn't work (won't even power on a usb stick or ipod), and the uconnect buttons don't respond to anything. The radio works other than this (I can use satellite radio, cd's, and the hard drive). Without the use of those buttons, and the usb in the glove box, I am unable to update uconnect.
