Thanks for all the responses guys. I'm deffinately thinking that the ground needs to be redone. As far as the sub goes, my dealer that I bought the sub from adjusted my amp for me. But it was daylight out, so we didn't notice the lights dimming. When it warms up out this weekend I will tear into it.

I went with one at oriellys, it has I beleave 200 more cca, my headlights wont dim, the only time I see any dimming at all is I have my headlights on and cab lights, and the ONLY my cab lights dim, I can live with that>>>>>>>>>>> I wouldnt say i reccomend the battery I bought, it was almost 190 out the door, and for that you can find batterys more designed for our needs, &i was in a rush. Also the one i bought fit, it filled the whole box length wise compared to the old one.

Here is a great battery, I am ordering mine. I am also getting a 1400 to go inside the truck under the rear seat with the Subs.

I have a friend who had dimming issues, this battery squashed it. bass hits harder too.

I'm not so sure it's your amp wiring. I have a 2006 dodge ram runing the same system/wiring I used in a 2007 sport trac. the lights never dimmed in the sport trac but do noticeably dim in my dodge.

in fact, the power and ground are cut shorter than I had it in the sport trac. I'm using a 6 gauge power wire and 8 guage ground. Technically the ground should always be the same size as the power. But my point is that the exact same setup in two different cars. I'm not sure how big the alternator was in the sport trac but after reading these posts, it's apparent that Dodge has some weak power output in these trucks.
