Default Hi-Flow Cats

Anyone have any installed? Anyone with a review on them, worth the investment?

Thanks,

What kind of horsepower are you running, and what are your supporting mods? If you're basically stock, or just have some basic add-ons, like CAI, exhaust, tuner, headers; then you won't see see any gains. I recommend only going to highflow cats if you're increasing the airflow into the system and need to reduce the exhaust back pressure. So if you're doing ported heads, supercharger, nitrous, then I'd say it's a good idea.

Ya im running basically bolt-ons.
AirAid Intake System
PowerAid throttle body spacer

So i wont be seeing any gains what so ever if i install high flow cats correct?

Modern catalytic converters are really the same as aftermarket "hi flow" cats. There's really no need to replace them, they are just as good. Now if you have a vehicle 5-10+ years old then yes there is some flow to be gained by going to an aftermarket higher flow cat.

Rule of thumb is that if the stock cats are round/cylindrical they are "hi flow", if they are oval or some weird shape they are the older style and not as free flowing.
