Question Truck Bucks, Sputters and Dies at Every Stop (P0121)

Here's the situation:

2001 W2500 Quad Cab Long Bed 5.9L Auto

Once warmed up, truck bucks and sputters while driving, mostly while attempting to maintain speed on the highway. Just yesterday the engine began to shut down every time I came to a stop. I checked the codes and it's displaying a P0121. Seems like research points to the TPS. Correct?

P0121 is the throttle position sensor. It may be bad, there could be a bad wire, ground, chipmunk food, whatever.

The TPS isn't sending a signal to the PCM. Are you getting black smoke too?

Three wire sensor . One should have around 5 volts on it , one should be ground , and the other is the signal to the computer .
