That is really good info! I'm going to have to do some research to see how these systems integrate. I would never have thought the cruise control would be affected by the front wheel sensor(s)....let alone the engagement of the front axles.

im not 100% sure but from what ive read and been told by other users. makes sense because ur supposed to be able to shift into 4wd any where to 55mph so getting a speed signal from front wheel would allow it to figure out if its safe to engage 4wd and if its malfunctioning the 4wd would not allow axel to engage? and the cruise would monitor wheel speed to keep the desired speed maintained?

And this would be able to compare the speed difference between the front and rear wheels to determine if axle engagement is OK within the speed limits of engagement.
That IMO, is Smart!

Good new boys the sensor arrived today so i tore truck down and installed it and initially didnt do anything to solve my issues. started truck up turned 4wd same shit t-case locks but hubs wouldnt. same issue with cruise not coming on either. So getting frustrated i put brake and wheel back on took it for a run around the block and what do you know cruise and 4WD now work!! sensor must have just needed to calibrate its self! So if you have any of the symptoms i had i suggest you check that stupid sensor on drivers front hub
