depends on how much money you have left. you can always get a SC 3815 for about 100 bucks or sc 3865/DSP for 200 from the classifieds in this forum. i see them all the time. i paid 250 for my 3865 and 40 for the trans tuning and i still think it was worth every penny

Default bed cover?

Glad you have money left over. Yes, exhaust! Second, bed cover. I love mine. Its a fiberglass SnugTop. Of course it depends on what you do with the truck. I have a wife and 3 kids and we like to camp. It's nice to have a cover on the bed and be able to travel for days (and yes, even weeks) with all of your stuff in the back and not worry about rain or thieves. Just my .02 I like what you did with yours! Have fun with it!

Archaea... I like your forum name. I wrote paper on Methanogens in College. Interesting stuff.

As for bed covers, I drive on gravel alot and dust tends to accumulate in the bed and will cover everything in it. Plus I have a tendency to store way too much in the truck as it is, I'm afraid the cover would only cause me to store even more.

A grill guard would be nice but a little over budget. I may just tint the front door's windows to match the back and save the rest for whatever. I am trying to convince myself that I need a programmer but I don't think I really do.

Well, the exhaust is on. Its a little louder than I had anticipated but thats ok. It sounds mean as hell. Now I have just enough left over for a SC Tuner... Well, almost... I may have to fudge on my budget $30-$40.

Do I really need on though?

Ok, I've done it. K&N Drop in filter, Westin Chrome Nerf bars, Magnaflow cat-back w/tips, and I just ordered my SuperChip Tuner and it will be here Wednesday. All for $1000! Thank you Uncle Sam for your contribution in the form of a huge tax return.

I'm still hunting down a rough idle. However, it feels like a monster under throttle. according to CPU gas mileage went down after exhaust but i was driving highway into 40 mph winds. Tuner arrives tomorrow, I will repost then.

I chose CAI because I already redid my cat and exhaust and now it sounds like a beast! My bed liner is fine and so is my rollnlock cover. i also chose CAI because I ordered it this past weekend and it was the cheapest mod. next up is looking around for a programer for the right price. good luck
