How do you know the trailer brakes were releasing?

I would assume he could feel all the weight of the trailer pushing against the truck at the moment his trucks ABS kicked in. Just a guess....

It sounds like he hooked his trailer up again today on snow/ice roads and tested it out.

So does that mean those who install the factory brake controller but cannot have it recognized by the EVIC will have this problem (no trailer brakes when ABS is activated)?

Yes guys,
If you purchase and installed it yourself everything works fine exept when the ABS kicks in.
To know if your option [ ITBC] as been activated , if you can, try in a parking lot when raining or snow apply brake has hard has you can so the ABS will kick in and watch the brake controler digital number, it will go from a {let say 5.0} to 0.
Also if the option is on ,you will see it on the EVIC {trailer brake},if not then the option is not activated.

I had the brake controler for the last 2 year, and thought evrything was fine {ecxept when the ABS was on} found it weird, but did not complained to much since the dealer said it was maid like that.

Thank`s guys
