One of my other vehicles is a 2006 Chrysler 300 SRT8 (see my siggy pic).
Well, I can't seem to stop modding it!
My latest mod was adding a Techo strut tower brace that I purchased from one of our supporting vendors here on the Z, BMC Performance. They are great to deal with and delivery was quick. I got it before the delivery update was received by email!
I got the bar and braces powdercoated along with some engine covers I've had for a while. Here's a few pics...
This is what I started with:
After powdercoating the braces in black & the bar in Cardinal Industrial Finishes Silvervein which was also done to the engine covers and what I have on my wheels:
Finished up the install Thursday nite. I'm not a big fan of drilling holes in my car...LOL...but I did have to drill a couple in the cowl brace to bolt up the bases:
Suspension performance definitely improved. Turn in is sharper, it tracks a lot better on the highway, response to steering inputs are precise and the car responds well to hard cornering, especially when hitting the entry apex and control when drifting out to the outside of the corner at the backend.
I'm glad I did it!
