Yep. I've been to Sac a few times but Famoso is only 1:30 away from Fresno so it's much closer. Hoping to get back out there for a test&tune night in the next few months.

What about you? I would guess Sac since you're up in nor cal.

Instead of starting my own thread, I figured I might as well revive this one...

I have a 2011 2WD Express Hemi with factory LSD, stock gears, and a R/T sport muffler.. I'm about to install a 2/4" drop with supporting suspension upgrades and OEM 22x10 SRT wheels with 305 tires...

What's it going to take to get my truck with the 22's on into the 13's? I'm completely not interested in gutting my truck and putting 17s on it to accomplish a 1/4 time that I couldn't replicate on the street..

I'm really not sure even if a Vararam intake, dual cutouts, and gears could even get me there..

This is not my truck pictured below, but my new stance should look something like this if it helps:

What tire size are you going with 305/45 or 305/40? The 305/40 will give you an effective gear reduction since the tires are smaller in diameter. I personally like the 40 series better on a lowered truck with the added performance as a plus. Make sure to research the tire weight between manufacturers. They vary quite a bit even for the same tire size. Try to minimize the weight of the new wheels/tires as best as possible.

Since there are no tuners available yet I would recommend focusing on drive train upgrades to make the best of the power you currently have. At the track our trucks dog off the line. The stock 3.55 gears dont help a 5000lb truck much off the line. A set of 4.10 gears from the R/T and an upgraded torque converter will really wake the truck up and help improve those 60' times. With the right tires and a few drive train upgrades you can get in the 13's. I've personally hit a 14.6 in stock trim, 14.3 with minor weight reduction. There is a guy here who has a '11 express with LSD and 3.92's and he is in the 13's stock. It can be done, and yes, without 29" street slicks on 17's!

Depends on the money and how far you want to go. You can make it WELL into the 13s.

Circle D is a leading maker of trq converters. Which is a HUGE problem with these rams and their trq management. The R/Ts come factory with a 2600stall. Circle D does a nice performance 2800-3000stall "Call and talk to them they are located near me in houston and they can steer you in the correct direction" The converter and install should be around a grand. I have seen after a 2800 stall instal on a regular cab express cut qm times by a bit over a half second. HUGE difference in off the line performance for sure.

From there, you can get your intake, exhaust, a nice set of shorty headers and even send an order over to Fastman who does custom TB work. He did one for me and it is a lot less restrictive than the factory. Of course send a call over to B&G to do a Custom PCM tune for you to take your rev limiter to a higher setting, give you a nice 89/93 octane tune and delete that trq management. They are CLAIMING 25-40hp increases, and it only gets better with supporting performance mods sense you can get custom tuning around them.

SHOULD NOT be over 2500 dollars in total. Depends on if you have the intake and exhaust already. And hell if you want to get the R/T factory 4.10s put in I would give my left nut that you break 12s EASY. This is what I plan on doing in my 12 CC. Half way there!

I have since put 17s on back (had to get speedo calibrator to keep from hitting top speed govenor before end of the 1/4 mile), 180 t-stat and removed to clutch fan. I am going to MIR this weekend (weather permitting) and am expecting to it run uncorrected 13.9s. With your 3.92 gears, you should be able to do it without the 17s.
I have the single cab Express, and was considering 17s , very interested in knowing how well you do. My truck sits high and I don't want it to look bad may consider dropping it, or at least a leveling since the rear end is pitched up quite a bit. But your talking 6 tenths just by changing rims , that's huge, and I'm not wild about the aluminum look on my black truck. You can't go wrong with black and chrome anyway.

Get the stall before the 17s... IMO, there is a guy on here that has a 2011 express regular cab 5.7... He put exhaust on his truck and went to the track, after that he put a 2800 stall on from circle D and his times were cut by half an entire second. That was with no tuning, and just exhaust... If you put 4:10s and a circle D stall in there, paying a shop to do both at the same time would say you a couple hundred dollars... You would be killing times.

This is what you need:
Intake.
Headers (longtubes or Shorties)
Full exhaust.
2800-3200 Stall. Take your pick.
4:10 gears.
17's with sticky tires.
Bored Throttle Body.
Efan.
Tuned.. I know you have a 2012. Only option right now B&G PCM flash.

All that will probably get you around 13.6-13.9

Perfect weather!
Weight reduction.
Practice Practice Practice.

If all that doesnt work...
125 shot of nitrous.

Most of all these mods I have on my truck. Soon ill be adding spray, and B&G swap.
Good luck, hopefully this helps a little or a good start to get you in the right direction.
