Somebody correct me if im wrong, but i remember reading somewhere (maybe the manual, cant remember) that pushing and holding the traction button for 5 seconds disables it completely, or putting it in 4lo also does it.

The holding the button for 5 seconds thing only works with a 4wd and it has to be in 4HI, even then the traction control will reactivate somewhere between 3500 and 4000 rpm's. The only time it's completely disabled is in 4lo, once you shift into 4lo you can blow it up!

Keep in mind the taller the vehicle the less traction you have. AT tires also have less traction. Many large, heavy, lifted, large tire vehicles spin the tires with ease, but are slow and unresponsive in regular driving.

Has the truck grown on you at all?
