Default 6" lift with 35's? Need some ideas

Looking to get a 6' lift but not sure between 35's or 37's. I've got a 2009 1500 slt with a 4.7.. will i need bigger gears to run a 37 properly? also if you have pics of a 6 inch lift with 35's or 37's thatd be awesome to see.. thanks!

I think with the 4.7 and depending on what type of gears you have now (guessing 3.21 or 3.55) you'll definately need some higher gears, like 4.56 i'm thinking. I had 3.55's when i first got my lift and 35" tires and was ok, but not the greatest, with the 4.7 she'll be lugging, unless you just drive around and just for looks, don't expect it to rip past cars off the line. Then I switched to 4.56 and what a difference, exactly what i was looking for for that setup and my gas mileage was improved pretty good. just my 2cents

sharp looking truck man.. thanks for the info.. so ur saying 37's with a 6 inch lift would be ok for road driving only? i wont be offroading too much, but def dont wanna ruin my truck in the long run.

Yeah it would do the trick, depending if you plan on towing or just driving it as a daily driver. Do you know what type of gears you have in it now? Just saying that with 37" tires (probably need 2 people to put em in the box hehe) their heavy tires to turn so the truck wont have the power it has now, might be deceiving.

ya 3.55 gears now. i'm thinking of 35's a bit cheaper haha also i kinda like have a little more room in the wells. i'm not to into a tire that takes up the whole weel well although i dont think it would look that way with 37s with a 6inch lift and a leveling kit, but 35's would be fine.. heres a pic of my truck now.. its got 33 inch all terrains there wearing out, so ill probably throw 35's under there with the leveling kit and keep them when i get a lift.
