I've looked all over that bad boy and don't see it.

They can be hard to find if you never worked on a magnum engine before or haven't worked on cars before lol. Anyways when looking under the hood the EGR is located between the COWL and the Intake manifold, it's basically very hard to access because their is limited room for big hands and socket wrenches but it can be done else wise chrysler wouldn't of designed the egr to be located at the rear of the intake manifold. Usually the egr on that model pickup year 1995 also counts for the 1995 van, the intake manifold egr tube is connected to the passenger side exhaust manifold. Be sure to torque the new egr to 72 in/lbs if my memory is correct that should be the torque setting. I don't recommend you removing the egr tube to clean it because sometimes the bolts that connect to the manifold from that tube will snap if you remove them, I never had it happen to be because I know they would snap from heat cold and well 16 years of it. Anyways you have to basically jump inside the engine compartment to see it. Better yet it's about 2 1/2 feet from the ECM.

Default Egr valve location

Getting a little annoyed with looking for that thing eh? Yeah it was ticking me off to BUT I can help ya bro! The egr valve is located in the back of the engine, yup in the back...Sucks I know but I just replaced mine and it can be done!! Dont take it anywhere do it yourself and dont forget the gasket as well...Right where all of your plug wires are plugged in on the distributor cap, its right next to it...Its 2 bolt holes. You have to climb up into that bad boy and reach for it but you can do it for sure. Its just awkward, the positioning thats all..

I have a 2500...But I'm pretty sure that they are in the same location...And if you need a new one, here is the part # I have, the brand is STANDARD and the part# is EGV502. Double check if you decide to purchase it as again, I have a 2500 but most parts are similar. I just recently repaired/replaced mine as well as the fuel injectors. Im an aspiring auto mechanic who is self taught. My advice to you is first and foremost, get a Haynes Manual!! The info in that book alone will save you time and money! I hope to soon open my own business as Im tired of making others money. I'm 35 and I have a new wife and 2 baby boys that I love dearly whom I would like to pass on the business to as well as teach such a valuable trade...I love it! Well, hope the info helps!
