There is a 3rd parking garage option that's less expensive but further away. It has a 86.6" height restriction. I think I may select that option until I can walk through the other one to see what the 'real' height is. I'm sure its fine but damaging a new truck and missing a flight in the same day could cause some grief.

Were you going to Pearson airport by any chance? Facing the same dilemma myself with my 2012 4x4 Crew on 20" wheels. Did you ever get round to trying it in the 2m garage? I'm only pickup some people up, so I'm tempted to put it in the 'value park LOT' so I don't have to worry about the garage height at all and take the link train in...

Thread is indeed over a year old, but I'm still here

personalpastries, I have not tried to park at the other Terminals at Pearson as 10cm of 'free space' is too tight to take the chance. I use the value Viscount parking garage instead, and it works great (see attached image, which shows lots of overhead space) and generally good spots next to the concrete barriers. The time and effort required to take the link train is actually faster than walking the typically long distances when you park at the standard (often full) lots at the terminal, plus its cheaper. If you do try the other lots, let me know how you make out. I suspect our vehicles have the same ride height.

I have run into problems at McMaster hospital where I rubbed the overhead bar at the entrance to the underground lot, and had to back up (other behind me were not impressed) and park above ground instead. Price you pay to have a nice vehicle I suppose

Good luck.

^at least you were smart and backed up lol. My brother did that with his big horn and decided to "push through", thinking once he got by it would all be clear....he managed to dent his roof, then got wedged in then still had to back up, making the damage even worse.

Ouch! Hope you didn't do too much damage to your roof eh?

Thanks for the tips - I checked out the one on viscount - it's 2.2m which seems about right. I was considering trying to park in the value park lot which is apparently next door to the viscount garage to avoid the problem altogether. I'll let you know how it goes.

I think our trucks are the same ride height yeah. It sure seems tall (coming from a sedan) but I'm sure once I get used to it I'll be fine. I haven't put it in any parking garages yet. There's a lot in downtown TO that I felt cramped even when visiting with my previous car. I'm pretty sure the ram wouldn't stand a chance.

Incidently I parked next to an F150 the other day - it dwarfed the Ram in terms of height. I bet they have real trouble with those. Another observation I made was how much better looking the Ram was when you see them both side by side. The F150 looked like it had been designed by a kid with a ruler.
