Default 98 ram steering?

just bought a 98 ram 4x4, has new pitman arm and track bar but steering wheel is like sideways going straight down road and alot of slop? maybe steering box?

close but no. when the new pitman arm was installed the gear box shaft turned. and so in turn it made the steering wheel turn. to fix it just take the pitman arm back off and have a friend hold the steering wheel and put the pitman arm back on. hope this helps. with the lots of slop problem, could be alot of things, basically anything under the truck that controls the steering. you could do what i am planning on doing.....replace everything at once! then you know its done and dont have to worry about for a another year or so...well at least in my case. hope this helps ya out.
