Default 2011 Mopar CAI

Removed this from my 2011 Ram 1500 purchased 1/24/12 with less than 2,000 miles use. For sale is the rubber throttle body coupler, the silver tube, and the short extension cable required for the relocation of the internal air sensor. (Use of this CAI requires moving the sensor from its stock location near the TB to near the end of the intake tube - note the rubber grommet.) Also included is 2 of 3 required hose clamps.

Note the mounting bracket on the silver tube. Used with the factory CAI air box/heat shield, there is a bolt where this attaches.

Frankly I think this could easily be used by just clamping on a filter - as many CAI's do not use an air box. (I'm not selling the filter or air box because I kept them on my truck - merely replacing the intake tube.)

Asking $225 shipped in mainland USA. Canada, AK/HI may require additional shipping charges. (I've seen the complete unit w/airbox and filter for $435 and more!)

Here it is as installed on my truck... you can see the extension cable I'm talking about running from the TB to the sensor gasket at the end of the tube. That's included.

And here is exactly what's for sale - (extension cable not shown but included)

This view shows the mounting bracket - again this simply steadies the tube on the air box but I believe it could be used without if you desired, or perhaps just use the bracket to tie wrap it to something if needed... the inlet of course is where the crankcase breather hose moves from the stock air box to the new intake tube.

Actually, no, Bikenut - the only piece you'd have to buy would be the filter and a hose clamp to hold it in place. Fabbing up an airbox/shield is optional - there are many CAIs that don't use them. But if I thought your offer was serious I might have accepted.

Offers???
