A lot of crying about wearing a seat belt....The only person that could possibly be hurt or killed by me not wearing a seat belt is me...Why should anyone else care if I wear it or not?

I have been in more car/truck crashes than I care to remember but the worst was in a Ford festiva going around 100mph no seat belt...5 people in the car, the drive and myself got thrown from the car and both lived. The other 3 stayed in the car and died when the car burned. I really don't care if someone wears a seat belt or not but there is no doubt I would not be hear today if I had been wearing a seat belt that night!

I am glad you are alive, but really 100 mph in a festiva? My wife had one of those, talk about a can on wheels. Four guys played a trick on her once and picked it up and moved it,lol. I guess the bigger question I have is why in the hell go 100 mph in one?

I just went out and did this to my 2010 sport and it worked the first time. Thank you I can't stand that annoying chime. So happy about it, YES..F...king chime,yes...

with that said I wear my seatbelt almost 100 percent of the time, just don't feel like it sometimes, and thats how that is...
Great thread, lol..........................

Default Driving me Crazy

My situation is a little different. I got stuck in my seatbelt one day and had to take the buckle apart to get out (not so gracefully of course). The sensor was working for several weeks but then it wasn't recognizing when I did have the seatbelt on. I moved the wire a bit and the chime went off, but now the chime is back again and moving the wire doesn't work. Any way to turn off the chime if the seatbelt light doesn't go out? All of the procedures below require to wait for the light to go off. Thanks for your help.
