Default New Ranch topper installed

Only took 2 weeks to come in. I am very happy with the looks and the quality. A little wax residue leftover from the factory but I will take care of that next weekend. I told the shop that I wanted to wire up the keyless entry and cargo light myself since I didn't want them drilling anywhere. Plus they were going to wire the cargo light with the parking lights and I wanted it wired to the existing cargo light circuit. I ran the wires in 1/4" wire loom along the existing harness on the left side to the firewall. There is a little nipple in the wiring harness rubber grommet on the driver side. Simply snip the end off and you can feed a few wires through there then inside along the driver's door sill where I tapped into the necessary wires for the lock/unlock and the cargo light circuits.

NOTE: the cargo light would work intermittently so I removed the existing cargo lights (and third brake light while I was there) and it has been fine since.

I think I will order the keyless tailgate lock as well. I've already run the wires so I can just tap into them at the rear of the truck.
