Default which 4.7L do I have

The sticker on my door says it was built 06/08, my question is how can I find out which 4.7L do I have the 235hp or 310hp as the date is around the time they made the change from 07-08? The stealership said it was the 310 but the guy was kind of a DA, he opened the hood and looked at the CAI, is there a difference in size? I have nothing to compare it to.

The clear give away would be that the new engine has 2 spark plugs per cylinder. The older engine had one per cylinder.

The new engine has one plug under the coil(intake manifold side) then off the same coil a plug wire goes over the valve cover to the second plug on the other side of the cylinder head(exhaust side).

That'd be a sure and easy way to find out.

Also, the newer engine has an electronically controlled throttle body, and the throttle body is plastic, not metal. The older engine had a metal throttle body and it was cable driven.

Another easy, clear way to determine what you have...
