4 and 5! That's 270 deg apart in the firing order! I'd have never thought that possible. Learn something new every day....especially on the Z!.

I figured it fired 2 consecutive cylinders at extreme advance to cause that, but obviously that was not the case. This is one of those times it would have been nice to have a logging scope attached to see exactly what happened....and exactly when. A billet crack usually doesn't break too easy.

Maybe you'll have to limit it to 50lbs boost and 7000RPM. You mak'in too much power!

haha it had made the power previously on the different pulls, it was just the missfire that screwed everything.


4 was practically blasted to pieces, like the whole piston itself was inpressive to look at, and we think 5 might have just been from 4 pushing down so hard and the crank flexing at that point. in an N/A engine im sure it would have just eaten 4..... i still dont understand how it broke at the nose though.



All in all this is just chalked up to a retardedly freak accident. We know it happens, hell Ive seen it happen before on engines like this one, but the way this all broke and came apart just left that "wll umm okay?" feeling in your stomach. I went with BS3 instead of fast to controll it cuz usually the fast boxes are the ones that are notorious for high rpm crank trigger breakup lol
