Default Diff lockers for ram 1500 MY2011

To All Ram Lovers

I am desperately looking for front and rear diff locks for my 2011 Ram 1500 Quad Cab 4x4...
I looked here n there, and came back empty handed

Welcome to this ForumZ

If i am not mistaken, the front differential is still a DANA & you can get parts from several suppliers
Your rear is a new style, made by ZF & people are just now messing around with them
Stock ZF rear differentials have the LSD as an option for the 3.55 & 3.92 ratios
Someone will correct me if i am wrong, but the 4.10 ratio that is in the R/T Ram has LSD as standard

There are no locker options (other than factory LSD) for new 11'-12' Ram 1500's with the new rear ZF axles.

There are no front locker options for ANY 1500 Dodge Ram with IFS.
The aluminum housing is not rigid enough for the added torque/stress.

Only HD Rams can install a front locker (SFA)

BTW, since at least 2003,
The Front Diff for the 4x4's has always been a Chrysler 8.0" from AAM
...and the rear a 9.25" Chrysler up until and including 2010's

Not sure who is building the 11'-12' Front Diffs for Dodge now,
but I think they changed the same time that the rears changed to ZF

BRH is right about the rear, nothing is out. For the front you can't get an lsd or locker for the 8" diff...ike BRH said its the same front diff since 03.

The 2012 guys are reall screwed bc they have the zf rearend and the 8.5" front diff. Same diff used in some of the newer suvs and rear of the LX's.

I looked and looked for LSDs for my 2500. I got fed up and called West Coast Differentials and they hooked me up. Worth giving them a phone call anyway. 800-448-0950

i would just go with rear lsd, no need for lockers unless you are planning a lot of off roading.

Your possibiltirs are almost endless with LSDs and lockers for a 2500. Not sure why you had such a hard time.

These ZF axles have NO options, Im working on my 5th carrier from an 11. Been around the block a few times with these rearends. The only thing you can do is buy Mopar or wait...

Hunter, the factory LSD isnt bad. Then again it isnt good either. Personally its not enough for me. Maybe I meet that small percentage.

Dodge put in the 10.5" AAM rear axle in the Hemi 2500. The Cummins diesel 2500 has the 11.5" rear axle and lockers are a lot easier to find for them. I had to go with a Mopar LSD in the rear anyway and went with a Truetrac for the front 9.25" axle.
