Default Shock help!!

I am looking to replace my shocks on my 04 ram 2wd and I wanted to know the best shock for my driving. I drive mostly on highway but I go up to deer lease which is really rough and I want some thing to make my ride SMOOTHER AND WILL NOT KILL MY WALLET . Which brand should I go with??

here is my take, something for off road, will not be all that great on the hwy, its always a trade off. bilstiens seem to be the shock of choice. i would look into shocks that you can adjust the ride feel, and off road, i would just take it very easy.

just remembered the name, check out rancho shocks, i have never used them but have not heard negatives about them. they are adjustable. softsettting on up to the stiffest setting.

I've been pretty happy with Bilsteins on other vehicles. Last vehicle was 4wd SUV with off road package which basically was Bilstein HD shocks. They provide decent suspension control off road and firm up the handling on road without creating harsh ride. Plan on replacing my shocks with Bilsten HDs after I lower it.
