Yeh have fun with that lol how can you get the pistons matched to the block if its still in the truck?

The motor has to be pulled and the block must be completly stipped down to bare and off to the machine shop you go. There it will get cleaned, bored, line honed and mostlikely they will replace the cam bearings along with other things and they will clean it again.

Once you get it home you can install the mainbearings and the crank along with the main caps. At this point you go through every cylinder and check for clearance issues with the rod bolts and if there is then you clearance the block with a die grinder. Once every cylinder is clearanced then you clean the hell out of the crank, main bearings, main caps, rod, rod bearings, and the block to remove any metal particles. And reinstall the crank, main caps, main bearings and bolt em down.

Next part is the most time consuming putting the pistons on the rods and making sure you put them on correctly direction wise. Then the fun begins of gapping rings NOT!!! lol !! Mine are gapped for boost. Now you drop the piston/rod in one by one and torque it all down and stretch the bolts.

Time for the cam install, then the timing case, oilpan, and all the sensors you took off can go back on. then just drop the sucker in and bolt it to the trans and the motor mounts.

Then its just a matter of putting the lifters in gaskets on heads/headers attached, rockers, pushrods, spark lugs, valve covers, coil packs, intake mainfold, power steering pump, ac comp, starter, throttle body, hook up the wiring, all the hoses, the belt, intake, and fill it with fluids. I almost forgot about the exhaust...

Put a custom tune on it and your ready drive with smiles per gallon!
