NHRA rules mandate a kill switch with a moved battery. Having the battery in the bed means it does not have to be in a sealed box w/ a vent tube because it it outside of the drivers compartment, but i dont know how much i would want my battery open to the elements lol.

The kill switch has to be clearly viewable with the OFF position clearled marked (push off or off is left or right on the switch)

IDK how much they would enforce that with trucks like ours, Tech at one of my local tracks was loose enough to let me run the bottle without a firejacket one night (im an idiot i know) but then they have also caught me for having 1 lug nut missing on a front wheel once, which I hav eno idea how i only lost 1 lug nut lol

Hypertech makes a speedo calibrator that IS compatible with the 2011 up computers - I am running one in mine right now. Works just like the handheld tuners but only has options to check and clear DTCs and correct for tire size. I haven't had the opportunity to run at the track with the new set up, but my speedo is accurate with 30 inch tires. (had to tell the computer 29 inches!?)
Could you possibly use this to tell the computer u have some wacky size tire to raise the speed limiter? Like haveing a stock size tire but saying its really big and you would really be running like 120mph and the comp only reads 105? just a little thought i had for at the track cause im thinking abt a 75 dry shot and have a 2012 so yeah be kinda pointless with a speed limiter.

It would be the other way around...tell the computer you have a smaller tire than you actually have to get the speedo to read slower than your actual ground speed.

Thanks! No track times yet although there are 1/8-mile and 1/4-mile tracks within 30 and 60 minutes of me. I'll definitely get there when I consider the truck "ready" which will be when I get a 2800/3000 stall TQ (soon), 4.10 LSD gears, and traction to match. I used to drag race a lot in earlier years and the Hemi bug has bitten me again. I'm impressed by how well these 4th gen hemis run and respond to minor performance mods. Even the simple mods in my "About Me" list are starting to awaken the beast (and he's hungry)...hehehe
