I hear you man, I just find it odd that they have offered the jr. intake kit for the 5.7 from as far back to 2003 and suddenly stopped offering for the gen 4 ? Thats the only reason why Im basing my question on.. is the gen 4 box is pretty decent for what it is. Im def. not the first person to ask that question. Hell, Ive already specd out a cone style KnN filter with more sqare " area from here http://www.knfilters.com/universal/universal.htm and a turndown elbow so it all FITS in the oem cold air box. I decided to leave well enough alone LOL since Ive already bought the flat panel drop in
Im just still undecided on a super duper intake kit and waiting until they all get released.

I'm thinking of making my own complete tube from the air box to the throttle body, only thing that has to be retrofitted would be the one sensor

It is something I keep playing with, I will have a sec at work walk out to my truck and the mind races then back to turning some wrenches. If I do it I will definately post pics, from what I can tell the sensor just pulls out so with a nice grommet it shouldn't be a problem. I have a tubing bender at work so I may at least take some exhaust piping and mock it up, idk cause that would be heavy but I have a few ideas.

AutoBred u did good! Looks good. Can't wait to hear what MPG gains derived. I own a 2009TRX Hemi. I want to improve my MPG w/o adding NOISE. I want to improve intake performance and add diablo.

Just saw this while searching how to do mine. How come you didn't do it from the throttle body to airbox?
