Just changed my oil for the first time. 3,000kms on the clock. Heard on this forum that the factory uses synthetic oil. I don't have much experience with synthetic oil but it was pretty dirty. Wasn't expecting that from only 3k. Again, could be normal, I don't know. I've used DinoCo my entire life every 5k on all of my vehicles. Got a good deal on Pennzoil Platinum at AutoZone so that is what's in there now. I will change it at 10k (kms remember eh) and see what it looks like.

Out of curiosity, who here has ever had an oil-quality related engine problem? I'd wager to say nobody.

Has anyone on here tried out Royal Purple in their HEMI. If so is the 5W-20 stamped with the API seal and meet the Chrysler MS-6395? Just making sure this will keep the warranty.

CaptainChubbzz; yes is the answer for your question. Royal Purple currently states their 5W20, 5W30, and 10W30 meet Chryslers MS-6395T specifications but their API designations are subject to change.

For jgos; my 2012 owners manual says engine break-in to 500 miles and

"You may use synthetic engine oils if the recommended oil quality requirements are met and the recommended maintenance intervals for oil and filter changes are followed."
This is also out of the owners manual so
I think your good to go bud.

The engine oil is conventional, Trans and diff's are synthetic I believe...

Yup, that is what I was told also, will be doing my engine oil soon, and be changing it to synthetic, was thinking of going Mobile1 full synthetic, anyone have an opinion on that before I do it. Thanks in advance
