Default 2 New to Dodge questions

I recently purchased a Dodge and this is the first one I have owned. I have driven a few in the past but it was a long time ago. I love the look and ride of the truck. One thing that worries me is the tranny after hearing many horror stories. Maybe I am a little hyper sensitive due to this. My tranny does two weird things. First when im going around 45-50mph sometimes the rpms will surge a couple hundred rpms and the tach will bounce until i either give some more gas or whatever. It also seems to unlock the torque converter more often than any other pickup I have owned, if that makes any sense. Does anyone know what would cause this, and is it normal??
My other questions is that my fan noise seems a lot louder than I think it should. I didnt know if my fan clutch was going out or if this was normal to Dodge. It just seems like the truck is always going 100mph. Thanks, guys, inadvance for any help.

I'm going to wait for Ramvan2500 to help you out on the trans but I'd add some Lucas to it in the meantime.

As for the fan, that should quiet down within about 5 minutes/miles. Pop the hood and try to spin it. When cold it should have some resistance but still turn smoothly. When warm it should turn a little easier. Have you noticed any vibrations?

For some reason I'm thinking your issues could be related and the problem may be the fan clutch.

well i recently changed the tranny fluid and did replace a quart of fluid with the Lucas additive. As far as the fan clutch goes It stays pretty much the same. It does quiet down a little bit at hwy speed, but any time I stop of accelerate it sounds like a wind storm!I have spun the fan before and it spun freely with resistance. There arent any vibrations that I have noticed so far.
