Default NEWB exhaust question.........

So I've been doing some researching on muffler options and have a question after some reading.. I want a Magnaflow 14 or 18, still on the fence. Now I know I can get just replace my stock with a Magnaflow muffler (PN12198). But what is the difference if any in a Mufflex 14? Hope I didn't confuse anyone.............

The mufflex kit is just the 14/18/24 oval with hangers added on and a short extension pipe added with the flanges opened up. It is designed for a simple bolt on installation.

If you just get the muffler, you are looking at $75-150 depending on your area for a welded installation. If you get the regular magnaflow muffler, be sure to look into adding the Y-pipe (25$) to where the exhaust comes off the ex-manifold. The factory pipe compresses 2 2.5" pipes into the single 3 which kills some air flow.

I got my Magnaflow 18" and Y pipe installed for less than $250.

Where did you order your Magnaflow from?
