Exclamation Lug bolts Sheering off

Hi all, i have a 2001 ram 1500 with the 5.9 v8 and within the past month 2 lug bolts on the passanger side front tire sheered off so im running on 3 of 5 till i work on it in the morning, i know i have a bad ball joint but what could cause this? can you change the bolts or does it need a new hub assembly? thanks to anyone who writes back

I would fix the ball joint and replace ALL the studs on the front end, They may have over torqued them if ya got new tires or a rotation? Dunno but for sure change the rest out before ya end up in the woods unintentionally

cowboy; I agree, way over-torqued. I always ask the mechs at the tire shop what their torque wrenches are set for, most of them don't know, they just run em until it stops. If the rotors are good, I'd just replace the studs; or may be a good time to update the rotors. You didn't say, did you just have tires installed or rotated? If so, I'd be going back to the shop and have them do the stud replacement.
