I had the same issue. The power mirrors and dome lights were not working. I replaced the IOD fuse and now everything is working again. Why is the IOD fuse protected by its own little plastic housing? (Like the airbag fuses are.)

I found the answer to my own question. Apparently the IOD circuit has a tendency to drain the battery during transport of the truck from the factory. So by having that plastic housing around the fuse, it's easy to pull the fuse out and have the plastic housing hold the fuse in place until it's time to reinsert it.

Angry Headlight issues..........frustrated

Just curious where is this fuse located? B\c my dome light will not come on unless the key is inserted in the ignition... you don't do have to turn it but the dome wont come on without the key in. Next ... the map lights wont work either but the screen with the temp, compass, and MPG info still works... what do I do?? Also my highbeams are as bright as my lows are supposed to be and my low beam is EXTREMELY low. If I turn on my fog lights then my low beams go off and high beams will not come on until the fog lights are off. the low beams also will not come on until the fog lights are off as well....WTF?????

my interior lights dont work either previous owner ran a new constant hot wire to the radio factory power wire has no power also this is odd but my headlight switch needs to be in the position where interior lights would be in order for my gauge cluster to light up at night but interior lights dont come on as well as the cargo lamp dont work ive traced and removed all the hacked up wiring the previous owner had done to the truck except the wire for power to radio replaced both terminals on the battery and cleaned the connections there as well as went through the fuses i will definatly check the IOD next

HA!!! changed the iod and the interior and cargo lights now work!!im excited now since they do work i have to put the headlight switch back to its "normal" spot and i now dont have dash lights... might have to pull the radio back out and reconnect the factory constant power wire and remove the previous owners wiring... isnt there something with the dimmer wiring that goes through the factory radio harness? had similar problem in a ford after changing head unit and not conneting dim wires cause i didnt want my radio to dim or change the display when the headlights were turned on anyone got ideas?? thanks for the iod information
