Default Coil Help Please

Hi
i have a 2006 dodge ram 1500 quad cab 4x4 4.7L. I have had no issues with the truck and have put 150k on it so far.
I have had a problem recently and i am hoping someone has some suggestions.
i had a coil failure on cylinder 3 code 0303 i believe it was and i lost power and the truck ran really sluggish, we tested with a reader and it came up with a bad coil on cylinder 3 so we moved the coil from #3 to #1 and the trouble moved to #1 so voila we thought it was the coil, i replaced the coil and put the new on in #1 and the one from #1 to #3 cleared all codes as well as put in new spark plugs and it worked perfectly, drove the truck for 35 minutes, shut it off and when i started it up i received a check engine light again, on my way back home the truck stalled and i opened the hood and #3 coil was melting. i unplugged the could and got home. Tested with a reader and code 0303 was up again, i replaced the coil with a new one and the code will not leave now. Truck runs terrible but i am getting code 2308 secondary c code now which i believe is still #3. I have replaced the wire from the ecm to the coil on #3 and still has code. Tested the voltage at the coils and #3 seems not to be right, when tested with a power pro it shows ground on both sides of the coil plug on #3 but when i test the other i only get ground on one side of the plug, that is why i swapped the wire but still nothing. I believe it could be the ECM but does anybody have any suggestions or tests i could do, please be patient with me i don't know a lot about this. i also put the pedal to floor and turned over the truck when u use a voltage tester on one side of the coil plug it gets a dull light but on the other plugs u get a flashing light.??
any help would be appreciated
Thanks
George

I cant figure on how to start a thread so im jumpin in this one....I was trying to test a coil old school way and after truck wont crank..got new code po499 i think....truck wont crank like no signal to starter no click nothing. Talked to someone at dodge said coil is directly connected to pcm and said i may have sent a dead short to the pcm but my scan tool is connecting and lets me delete codes but they come back immediately..how do i check pcm and what else should i look for considering i had no pro lems before this coil testing retard move.
