Default Viper 5301 Keyless & remote start A

Bought and installed at best buy in independence. All is good but I was a bit upset cause I got some small nicks in my dash from a screw driver or so but there so small insurance wouldn't claim them.

How much did you pay for it, and what kind of features did you get?

Was wondering if it had a security alarm built in with it. And some of those have a lot of different features. I was just wondering cause I am kinda looking at a remote start for mine.

5301 doesn't but the 5701 is the "5301" with alarm but its a extra $100 with 2k-3k feet and for another $100 you can get the 5901 with 1 mile radius.

I RECOMMEND VIPER A+ I never thought I could like my ST so much..

I unfortunally have had poor experiences with Viper products. My wife and I both had a Viper remote start from Nebraska Furniture Mart here in KC. It lasted about a year then it wouldn't start our vehicles anymore. It would try to start them, but it wouldn't turn them over. Not to mention we went through batteries pretty regularly, about once a month. I wish you better luck with yours, maybe they upgraded the system in them by now as ours were done about 4 years ago. Take care.

Nebraska furniture mart is the problem you had. A bad install is doomed for failure.

That's good to know if I ever want a new system in my new truck installed. I'll have to check out best buy and see what they have.

I used to install at Best Buy and they lied to you when they said their insurance would not cover the damage. Should have fought harder lol. Also, Viper is HANDS DOWN the best product out there with the easiest install by far. I've installed a TON of them. And remote starting your car from a mile away is just ridiculous, trust me youll never use it....save the $$$ and just get the 5701.
