Curious as to what RPM you guys that have done the swap are running at 65 and 70? I am doing mine on the 2nd and a buddy was trying to tell me it will be turning high RPM. I told him he was full of crap since the 35" I have now and the 37" that I am going to tire helps that out. Just curious thanks

At 70mph I run about 2200ish rpms on 37s. If you slap it in 5th/manual mode it'll add a couple hundred rpms.

Nothing is as simple as it seems I see. The Motive 9.25 4.10 aren't fitting in the housing. THe are rubbing when everything is set to correct backlash according to my mechanic. I have a call in to Motive, but this is just way frustrating.

That's odd, keep us posted.

Why 4.10 and not 4.56?

Alright, Ron(Ron's Machine Shop) and my mechanic discussed this pretty extensively and are pretty sure that there is just some excess material on the inside of housing that the gear is rubbing on. Not sure all the details but will find out on Tuesday when the local shop attempts to install another set.

For KyleMc; according to Allpar, "New ZF( Zeppelin Foundation ) axles were being made in Marysville starting in 2010." Whether the installation of said new axles were put on all Ram trucks during that year?; Thats a good question. I remember back about that time, there were rear end issues going on with ineffecient sustainment of gear oil to the rear gears, and according to the recall, affected somewhere near 50,000 or so trucks. Hence the recall and changing of certain internals and the rear diff cover; most likely to verify that particular truck had the recall repair performed. I believe the 2011's and 12's definitely come with the new ZF axles and can be verified by the different shaped pumpkin/diff cover. FYI if you didn't already know; the ZF company has been around since 1915 for the development and production of transmissions for airships and vehicles. Today, the group's product range comprises transmissions and steering systems as well as chassis components and complete axle systems and modules. I guess it's safe to say, these guys are from the old/new school and hopefully for all of us Ram owners, it's a step in a positive direction.

Oh and for Silverstar777; nice upgrade/mod to handle the big meats man! You could probably go even a little bigger diameter size in tire and get closer to that 1800rpm @ 70mph which could get you back up to the 20+mpg mark. That's if highway commuting starts to take a hold of you. If your beast is primarily round town and heavy offroad, then disregard my last over. Romp and stomp bud!

Why not just got to an R/T rear diff with the stock 410s and sell your stock parts off?
