Default Dash speakers for 2011 Ram

Hello all. I want to replace my dash speakers (standard system) in my 2011 Ram. I was wondering what the prefered speaker is? My choices include
1 Kicker DS35
2 Kicker KS35
3 Polk DB351
4 Polk DXI351
5 other?
thanks in advance

Welcome dk1975. I have a RC Express with the RES 130 head unit. Two weeks ago I replaced my dash speakers with Polk Audio DB351 and behind the seat with DB651S. I didn't change the door speakers. The 351's really put life into front to rear balance. They are 4 ohm vs the factory 8 ohm. The 651's didn't seem to be that much of an improvement over the factory speaker in the rear. The volume is down they are both 4 ohm. I got a good deal from Crutchfield, $130.00 for both pairs with wiring and mounting adapters. I'll do some switching door to rear with the 651's and add a powered sub.

I have the quad cab and did the Polk DB651 in the 4 doors. Then I did the DB351 in the dash. Makes a big difference! Sounds really good. Can't wait to get the Polk subs installed to finish it all off.

Dash speakers are a pain, do yourself a favor and pull the oh crap handles, it will give you a little more working room. If you get them online make sure that you get the connectors to hook into factory harness, they come free from Crutchfield.com. I bought them locally and no one had the connectors for dash and had to splice them. Had to take a lot of the dash apart to find enough wire to splice into. It is worth it though, it sounds great! My $.02

Strange the dash speakers were the easiest part of my install.. I had no room issues. I guess it depends on what tool you are trying to get them out with. I think I just used my 1/4 drive ratchet.
