Angry Please help another wont run !

01,3.9,104,00 miles....This is the problem, cold or hot no difference, shuts off at idle like you turned the key off, may idle perfect 5 min. or 10 min. ... Driving down road any speed a few feet or 20 miles, engine dies but restarts itself.. ( chugs) check engine light will flash a split second before it dies. Been working on this for over a month. No engine codes..
This is what I have done...
Dist. cap .... Rotor... Plug wires... Plugs...
Crank shaft sensor ( twice )
Dist. pickup ( cam shaft sensor) ( twice)
Map sensor
Air intake sensor
Fuel pump assembly--and ing. coil
Cleaned IAC and intake
Checked---- Vacuum ( steady 19 to 20 )--- Batt. voltage to computer 12 volt constant--Keyed 12 volt correct--5 volt sensor supply good..all grounds good( coming out of computer) and engine,chassis...Checked ALL wiring a bunch of times,Battery good (load tested) Alt. good and charging
Sorry for long post, wanted to give enough info.
Any way to check the computer at home??? Should this be the next step?? Hate to go to the dealer and be ripper off, I am a die hard do it your selfer..
Thanks for your help.. GREAT FORUM !!!!

Try to test fuel pressure. The pump or morelikely relay is becomeing hot and is shorting.

Thanks for the reply, however this is not the case. The fuel pump is not cutting off until after the motor dies one or two seconds, then the ASD shuts the fuel pump off via fuel pump relay. When engine is no longer running(not firing) the computer activates the ASD. This circuit is thus working the way it is suppose to.Thanks again.
Please need more help!!

Well the only way I can see to test computer is to rent a code scaner from an auto parts store. It might be a deposet charge but cheaper then stealership.

Thanks again ramfam. I have a scanner but it won't check the computer it self. It will communicate with the computer but it can not tell you if the computer is doing it's job. Auto zone or any of these type stores do not have the equipment to check the computer. They can only read the data stored in the computer. ie codes. I read somewhere on this forum that there was two pins on the computer you could jump out and it would do a self test. I have read till I am cross eyed but can not find it again. I did check fuel pressure it was good, but put in a new pump any way. I did not make that very clear in my post. Thanks again. I need help !!

Circuit Breaker. I just happened to run across your thread and wish I would have earlier. I had the exact same problem on a customer's truck and he had gone through all the same procedures.

I appreciate when a member posts their resolution as it helps others tremendously.
