Default Front Suspension Noise

I just bought a 2006 Ram 1500 5.7 HEMI 4x4 and when I take bumps slow and the truck shifts left to right I hear a dull squeak noise from the front right suspension. I have looked at the ball joints and tie rods and all looks clean and the rubber looks great. I can recreate the noise by picking up on the front end under the passenger fender well. My first thought is the previous owner put leveling spacers on the front and did not grease properly. I was just trying to figure out if there is any other possible explanation for that noise. Like I said it is a very dull noise, sounds like rubber on metal. All thoughts would be appreciated.

If your truck has Monroe struts its the plastic bump stop located on the strut shaft. Squirt some white lithium grease above that rubber stop from all angles.

Or your strut is blown

Mine makes a groaning sound from the front. Don't know, control arm bushings?

Pinpointed the noise tonight when I finally got the time, left bushing on the upper A arm. All is well structurally but goodness that noise is going to drive me crazy until I can get in there and replace is with a new urethane one. Thank you for the info!

Thumbs up Same issue

I have the exactly same problem and it's been driving me nuts. I can recreate it the same way you did by lifting up under the wheel well. Only difference is that mine is on the drivers side. I haven't been able to pinpoint the source. Do you happen to have any pics of the location you pinpointed? Please let me know if the urethane bushings fix your issue.
